Experimentation

The experimentation phase of the INCLUDED project foresees an experimental phase in collaborating schools in all the countries participating in the project (Italy, Finland and Spain).

The aim of the research is to explore the benefits of collaborative storytelling through activities with tangible digital, digital and traditional methodologies in the classroom, on the development of verbal fluency, storytelling skills, inclusion and interaction in pre-school and primary school students with and without difficulties.

February-May 2021Pilot phase of experimentation: familiarization experiences with the i-Theater tool in the educational centers collaborating with the project. Compilation of information on teachers’ impressions and observations on the performance of collaborative groups of different ages with the i-Theater tool.
July 2021Pilot phase’s results presentation at the Edulearn International Education Conference 2021.
September 2021Beginning of the experimental phase in schools. The study procedure involves seven phases: 1) students’ baseline assessment; 2) assignment of class groups to experimental and control conditions; 3) first phase of collaborative activities; 4) students’ midterm evaluation; 5) inversion of the class groups in experimental and control conditions; 6) second phase of activities; 7) students’ final assessment.
